What Is the Cycle to Work Scheme?
The Cycle to Work Scheme is a UK Government-backed initiative that helps employees save money on bikes and cycling accessories through salary sacrifice.
How the scheme works:
Choose your bike and accessories from Outspoken Cycles
Apply via your employer’s chosen Cycle to Work provider
Receive a voucher to spend with us
Pay monthly from your gross salary before tax
This means no upfront payment, no interest, and savings of 28–47%, depending on your tax band.
Featured Cycle to Work Provider: Green Commute Initiative (GCI)
Green Commute Initiative is the industry-leading and award-winning Cycle to Work Scheme provider with no spend limits and no ownership fees.
You can save 28–47% depending on your tax rate and pay monthly through salary sacrifice with no added interest, choosing repayment periods from 3 to 60 months.
GCI allows you to get any type of cycle, including electric bikes, helping to reduce congestion and pollution while improving your health, fitness, and mental wellbeing.
