Outspoken to begin delivering Bikeability in Buckinghamshire

Outspoken Training are delighted to announce that they will be working with Buckinghamshire County Council to provide Bikeability cycle training to more pupils throughout Buckinghamshire. 

Bikeability is a modern cycle training programme approved by the Department for Transport which aims to encourage more people to cycle, more often, with less risk. It aims to enthuse, educate and develop skills on how to be a responsible cyclists to enable trainees to make independent journeys by bike. Training is provided by DBS checked, First Aid qualified, National Standard Cycle Instructors with a love for cycling. Last year Outspoken Training trained over 10,000 pupils in 469 schools across the East of England helping to create new, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and able cyclists.

Buckinghamshire County Council have received funding for a variety of Bikeability Levels and Bikeability Plus modules which Outspoken Training can deliver, including:

  • Bikeability Level 1 - Off-road training - Year 3 & 4 pupils
  • Bikeability Level 2 - Residential road training - Year 5 & 6 pupils
  • Bikeability Level 3 - Advanced commuter road training Year 6, 7, 8 & 9 pupils
  • Bikeability Balance - Balance bike training - Early Years Foundation Stage pupils
  • Bikeability Learn to Ride - Beginner training - KS1 & KS2 pupils
  • Bikeability Ride - Led rides - Year 5 & 6 pupils
  • Bikeability Transition - Planning routes to secondary school - Year 6 pupils
